Craft Fairs

A friend of mine and I participated in a few local craft shows in the last few weeks. At the first one, there was a nice crowd and lots of lookers and shoppers, mostly kids from the school.  Lisa and I learned a lot. We had a terrific time! So much fun to talk to people who were looking at our stuff, and take turns walking around to see what others had to offer. My personal goal was to pay for our show expenses, pay for my supplies and end up with a little extra to buy more crafty supplies. Success!

The second show was not such a success for us. Hundreds of people attended the event overall, but the vendors were placed in an out of the way area where we got very little traffic. We did manage to pay for our table, but not much else.

We had for sale: “survival” bracelets made of high-strength paracord ($8), luggage tags made of paracord ($5), charm necklaces with 18″ silver chain ($10), charm bracelets on leather cord ($5), loose charms ($2), light bulb terrariums ($10), beaded star ornaments ($5), beaded key chains ($7), bracelets made from soda pop tops ($2), and Lisa’s Kindle/Nook cases ($10),  iPhone cases ($8), and eyeglass cases ($5).

Here’s a photo of our table. We were pretty happy with our product mix, and our prices are as low as we can go. We plan to try some new shows in the spring.
